Yercaud is a hill station in Salem, district of Tamil Nadu, South India.At a height of 4,970 feet on the Shevaroy Hills of the Eastern Ghats. Also called the “Jewel of the South”,Yercaud is Popular called as the “Poor man’s Ooty”. 

Manjakuttai viewpoint is located 7 km north-east of Yercaud,on the loop road the view point offers an amazing view of the hills, forests, plantations and Annamalaiar temple on top of the hill at a distance! 

Manjakuttai View Point is Best place for sunrises and sunsets,the watchtower at manjakuttai view points enables visitors to able to get a panoramic view of surronding valley ,mettur dam 

The view point is set up well with car parking area.This view point is less known to people as it is still under development.But it is a nice place to go. Looks like the hills end here. 

The best time for sunrises early morning 5am to see the beauty of sun rise.
