Aliyar Water Cascade is a scenic spot located at Anaimalai hills  Situated at the confluence of the Aliyar River and the Uppar stream, Aliyar Water Cascade is formed over a check dam built on the Uppar River.

 

Aliyar Water Cascade  is 15feet in depth you stand in running water  , you can enjoy walking, simply lie down and get yourself wet, and dive into the other side from the water channel top

 

one needs to be careful about getting hit by stone if the balance is lost. This dam is mainly used by local people for their daily use like washing, bathing & entertainment.

 

Aliyar Athupalam is a must visit place for those who know swimming and needs to the bath to create a memory with friends. The water source for this place is the Aliyar dam river.

 

There is no still water in any situation. Always there will be a slight to extensive water flow available. This place is very near to Aliyar Dam as you can see the aathupalam being on the main road itself.

 

Aliyar Athuparai Water Cascade Also known as Winner Fame Water Cascade , This place became famous because of the Tamil movie Winner as few scenes were shot here.

 

Post-monsoon is the best season to visit this place when the dam is full. The approach path is not developed & a bit messy. But you will enjoy the water area as that is very clean.
