Chinnakallar Falls is located in Anamalai Tiger Reserve in annamalai hills at the distance of 15 km from valparai in Coimbatore District Tamil nadu India. 

Chinna Kallar Falls is also known as the Cherrapunji of South India as it receives the third-highest amount of rainfall in the country after Mawsynram and Cherrapunji. 

Chinnakallar Falls located in a remote forest that you need to trek through for half an hour. You have to take a pass from the Forest Check Post and one of the officers will be guiding you all the way to reach the waterfall area . 

Chinna Kallar Falls is a natural reservoir of freshwater.You can bathe in this waterfall but it is best to be prepared for a few leeches that can be found in these waters. 

Chinna Kallar Falls is mainly surrounded by narrow, rugged bushes and  greenish dense forest with tall and majestic trees

the area also attracts elephants and barking deer, but you have to be careful about the whereabouts of the wild animals since they roam freely near the waterfalls.
