TopSlip is located in Anaimalai Hills At a distance of  5 km from Parambikulam, 35 km from Pollachi and 76 km from Coimbatore Distric Tamilnadu.

Topslip is a protected tiger reserve located in the Annamalai mountain range of the Western Ghats in Tamilnadu. Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park located in the Annamalai Hills is a protected area.

It got renamed after the Indian Prime Minister visited the park in 1961. The wildlife sanctuary is located at a height of 1400 m above sea level and spread across an area of 958 sq km.

The name top slip comes from the practice carried out in 19th century, of sliding logs of teak timber down the hills that took place in this area.

Top Slip It’s an ideal place for bird watching,elephant safari, and trekking also the home to world's rarest primates.It is also famous for the elephant camp.

Top Slip also has an elephant camp called Kozhikamuthi, This Camp is exclusive for elephants.the best collection of trained elephants or kumki elephants .One can even see the elephants being fed at specific times.

As part of its elephant conservation effort,the Forest Department also celebrates the World Elephant Day in August here and events like drawing, public speaking, and essay writing contests are conducted for tribal students..

Elephant Pongal in the Topslip is the special festival is celebrated every year in the month of the January.

Topslip is the only entry point to Parambikulam Wild Life Reserve Forest which comes under the state of Kerala.The nearest access point to Topslip would be Pollachi in Tamilnadu.

Topslip is also a national park and a medical plant conservation area apart from its wildlife.The park prides in being home to a wide range of flora and fauna.

Wild animals such as panthers, deer, tigers, elephants, civets, gaur, wild bears, sloth bears, porcupines, jackals, pangolins, etc inhabit in the depths of this park.

Several birds such as the red tree pie, spotted dove, whiskered bulbul, black headed oriole, rocket tailed drongo, etc are also found in the park. The Amravati Reservoir located within the park is inhabited by crocodiles.

Forest Department organizes 1-hour elephant safaris and jeep rides into the sanctuary. Private vehicles are not allowed for the safaris. The Tourism Department has also identified several trekking routes starting at Top Slip and conducts guided trekking tours.

The local administrative control is with the Forest Range Officer under supervision from the Wildlife Warden at Pollachi . Get in All visitors can enter by paying a nominal fee at the sethumadai forest check-post. Bikes are not allowed. 

How To Rech Topslip Anaimalai Hills Valparai  Pollachi :  Reaching Pollachi and then road to Top Slip (35 km), the entry point to Parambikulam is Topslip .

There are regular buses from Pollachi to Topslip at 6 am and 3 pm. The bus returns to Pollachi at 8 am and 6 pm.
