Green Valley View is also known as the Suicide Point due to its deep and dangerous fall It’s been a horrible view from the top of Suicide point. Number of people ended their life here by jumping into the valley which drops nearly 5000 feet below.

The Tamil Nadu Government to discourage people ending their lives by jumping renamed this place as Green Valley view. So, For our safety, that is an iron bar fenced.The mist will steal the mesmerizing early morning and evening landscapes. Surprisingly, The view of Vaigai Dam looks spectacular from this place.   

The History – Suicide Point or Green Valley  Myth : 

The name formed Suicide point as the serious of unexpected deaths or suicides happening here. From time to time, the enchanting view of the Vaigai Dam and a lot of Cliffs view from the top, Another Myth story from the local people is, On the one hand, there lived a mother and child.

 

They went to enjoy the view of the place and unfortunately split on the hills and died both of them”.On the other hand, there are two people who committed suicide from the top of that place.earned the tourists attention. As the tourists’ visits are high, the Govt officials make this place one of the Tourist Spots in Kodaikanal. So that the name also evolved from Suicide point to Green Valley by govt, 

Horse Ride at Green Valley : 

There’s a cheap horse ride available where you can ride 5-10 minutes basis with an average cost of 50 to 100. 

Beware Of Monkeys in Suicide Point : 

Monkeys in the Green Valley viewpoint are dangerous as you can see them in their eyes. Also, they’re hungry. They’ll grab whatever you’ve in your hand. So be careful at whole the time being there.

Golf Village Near Green Valley Kodaikanal :

Kodaikanal Golfclub is a 116-year-old private property. Tourists can only be able to visit from the roadside whereas the club members can play. It’s the best place if you’re a beginner you can join and play. This place is so greenish and charming, which makes you stop the vehicle for a minute to enjoy the landscape.

It is open all the time but viewing from 10 AM – 2.30 PM is advisable.
