Akkamalai estate is located at the boundary of the grass hills and after Akkamalai estate only you could see mountains and forest. After independence this place is a private property belongs to PKT Tea produce Ltd. Also we need to permission from Manager of this estate sometimes.  

Akkamalai Estate is 16 kilometers away from Valparai. And it's about 41 minutes away from Valparai to reach Akkamalai grass hills. Always every 30 minutes bus towards Akkamalai is available near old bus stand or pallaya bus stand Valparai.
