Trekking In Perumal Peak Or Perumal Malai :

The trek begins from the foot of the Peak near Perumal Malai is a small Village which is 11 km from Kodaikanal. The trek distance is about 7 km one way and takes about 3-4 hours to reach the top of the peak.

Though the peak forms a part of the forest area, As you will feel very close to nature on your journey, hence it is of the best treks of India. The best thing is no permission from the forest department is required. Many local people living in Kodaikanal say that this peak was once a volcano and it has stopped erupting from 1000 years. This makes it a very interesting place to visit.

Trekkers can also have camping for a night on the peak; however many of the trekkers return on the same day itself. The view from the peak is absolutely enchanting.
