Nallamudi (Poonjolai ) Viewpoint is located in the private tea estates, Nallamudi estate is in Anaimalai hill range of  Valparai Town in Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu India.

Nallamudi Viewpoint is At a distance of 15 km from Valparai Bus Station, Nallamudi Poonjolai is a spectacular Viewpoint , Situated in the Nallamudi Tea Estate Situated amidst the tea fields, Nallamudi Viewpoint offers stunning views of the Anamudi Peak, the tallest peak in South India,



The spectacular scenery and the tranquil environment of the viewpoint ,vast tea gardens, lush green valleys, and magnificent waterfalls flowing between the steep cliffs of the mountain ranges.

It is a perfect place to spend some relaxed moments immersed in the tranquility of nature.To access this viewpoint, one has to walk uphill through tea plantations of Nallamudi Estate.

After nearly a km of a walk across the tea estate, one can witness the raw Valparai and also the Sholayar mountains. The viewpoint offers a panoramic view of lush green valleys, sparkling waterfalls, tribal settlements and the majestic Anamudi Peak.

The panoramic view of lush green mountains and river valleys makes you feel that the view is worth the walk. On some days, there are clouds all around and on other days, the view is bright and clear.

On your way, you may see fresh elephant dung, pugmarks & droppings of leopards and bears that visit here regularly at nights. Nallamudi Poonjolai offers an excellent view of Anaimudi peak.

It was an interesting viewpoint to sight the Anaimudi. The valley almost covered by dense forest with little encroachment of tea gardens as far left and tribal settlement villages below the valley.



The Anaimudi was not clearly visible, except the shape like elephant back at far distance. This valley separates the states Tamilnadu and Kerala. The other side of the hills of Anaimudi is Munnar (the tallest peak in south India located in Rajamalai National Park near Munnar), several waterfalls, tribal settlements and a valley that is over 1000 feet deep.

The views and atmosphere are ideal for nature lovers. The place looks exceptionally green and the waterfalls look especially majestic during the monsoon.
