Telescope  House is situated In Kodaikanal hill town Palani hill range in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, South India.Telescope  House  is located at the northern tip of the Coaker's Walk.It was constructed as to make it easier for tourists to have amazing view of the valley. 

Telescope house offers tourist with the opportunity to have a breath taking view of the valley and other nearby towns.Visitors get mesmerising view of the surrounding areas especially of Sothupparai Dam, Vaigai Dam, Periyakulam and Varaha River. 

Kodaikanal Terrestrial Telescope has been constructed at an appropriate place and attracts hordes of tourists.It is located at Coaker's Walk, constructed by Lt.Coaker in 1872 and is a 1-kilometre paved pedestrian path that runs along slopes on the southern side of Kodai. 

Inside the house, there is a high quality telescope which enables a person to observe a highly amplified, clear and sharp picture. Hence tourists get fascinating sights of the adjacent towns and valleys. 

The best time to visit the Telescope House is before 2:30 when the weather is comparatively clear and there is more sunlight and less mist. Close to the Telescope House you will encounter a number of monkeys that create an additional attraction for kids.
