Dolmen Circle is situated In Kodaikanal hill town Palani hill range in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, South India.Dolmen Circle is Located around 18 km from Berijam Lake and 8 km from Kodai Lake. 

Dolmen Circle is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kodaikanal,Dolmen Circle is a unique experience to all its visitors,the Dolmen Circle boasts of pre-historic remains which can date back to 5,000 BC. 

It is believed that this place was the burial as well as the place where the pre-historic men belonging to the Stone Age and Iron Age dwelled known as dolmens and kistvaens. 

Dolmen Circle  is made up of two large erect slabs which are further covered with a vast flat chunk is situated close to the Parvatha Vihar and the Pannikadu Village. 

Many dolmens have been destroyed with time but you can find dolmen at two places. At the Ghat road near Periyakulam, you can spot one dolmen and the other can be seen 2 km away from Pannaikadu hamlet.however only few can be seen in Perumal Peak and Shenbaganaur Museum. 

It is Situated on the highest point before coming down to Pattiveerampatti, the dolmen still stands strong there without any damage . 

According to some research, these were sued as hideouts for the ancient man. It is believed that more than living, ancient people used these to keep their valuable. 

Several Various copper and brass ornaments along with utensils have been found. On the other hand, Kistavens majorly served as burial grounds.
