Kamaraj Sagar Dam history :

The Kamaraj Sagar Dam is located at a distance of 10 km from the Ooty in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu.It is also known as Sandynalla reservoir. It is a picnic spot and a film shooting spot,on the slopes of the Wenlock Downs.

There is a pine forest located adjacent to the dam and it is a home to a variety of animals like the barking deer, Indian bison, monkey, boar etc. The water in the lake is greenish and which is a visual treat to our eyes.
