Karumalai Falls is located in valparai on the way from palakkad to valparai road at 39th hair pin bend .Karumalai Falls is situated in the lush forests of the Anamalai Tiger Reserve and surrounded by lovely tea plantations. 

The fallls is located inside a private tea estate.To reach here first reach karumalai tea factory and take left. The board would mention 'private vehicles not allowed' but you can take permission from the authorities before entering the premises. 

The only way to reach these falls is on foot or by two wheeler.The location would be very good with tea estates on both side and a small river in the middle. Walk towards the falls and go near as much as possible and come back as getting close to the falls is very risky. 

This falls is restriced if you like to see this falls you get approval by the given authorities. There is a Temple called Karumala Balaji near to the falls.
